I'm not usually a fan of cops and robbers, shoot-em-up movies. This movie however is spectacular. The story itself is pretty good, but the acting is what makes this moving so compelling! Especially that of the main character! Not to mention it would be hard to find another actor that is so good and yet one of the most attractive and hot young guys I've ever seen. So the eye candy definitely doesn't hurt! But, the movie itself is so good, everything else is secondary.This is one of the best movines I've seen in years! I'm not an Oscars fan, but if any movie should get best picture, it should have been this one!

ALMOST 5 stars. I thought this was so clever & with wonderful acting & music. I thought it devolved into a typical Hollywood movie toward the end which was kind of disappointing after such a strong unique beginning. In fact, in the first part of a movie I was having feelings that this might be the best movie I've seen in a long time. But... sigh... they didn't quite hold on to that. That being said, it is very good.

I was hooked from the beginning by the brilliant weaving of music into this story of a young man who becomes involved with a criminal mastermind as the getaway driver. The chase scenes are made more exciting with the tight editing and the soundtrack that keeps things edgy. The subplots give added depth, such as Baby's relationship with the older black man whom he looks after and the waitress he meets along the way. In light of recent revelations, Baby's relationship with his boss takes on a dark and more sinister aspect that may not have been intended when the movie was made. Overall this is a movie that I pull out to watch over and over.

I wish I'd watched this sooner! It was a lot of fun. The plot contains just enough holes to keep the mystery interesting without making it ridiculous. Elgort is a revelation -- his performance makes it impossible not to feel the music the way his character does. This is a car-chase movie and a heist/caper flick and a dark comedy and a bunch of other things, but all I can really say is "watch this and you almost certainly won't regret it."

At first, I anticipated Baby Driver was another one of those films that would flop at the Box Office or Rotten Tomato ratings. Well I begged my own differ to say that this film really hit the hook with an astonishing cinematography work, clever Post-Production Editor and the Edgar Wright's choice on directing it. Sound Editing and Mixing was the paramount for what the film is acknowledged for despite the lack of dialogues from the characters. Added to that, music and song choices that hyphen up and releases the tension between the characters' interaction. Definitely would be a suggested film to watch as a Film Fanatics.
