I enjoy the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. They originally wanted Jim Carrey to be Captain Jack but I don't think it would be the blockbuster hit without Johnny Depp. One thing about my copy of Dead Men Tell No Tales. In the part where they find the trident of Poseidon, you can hear a cellphone ringing on the film. Really. Doesn't bother me but I kept thinking why doesn't my neighbor answer the phone?

I doubt I watch another Pirates movie without Depp, but this was a beautiful farewell to Jack Sparrow.

It was okay, A little hard to follow though. The best part of the movie was at the end when Jack suddenly comes face to face with the monkey. The startled look on Jack's face and in Jack's voice says it all. I rated it as high as four stars only because the special effects were great. They saved the movie.

It is hysterical. A lot of English humor!! Johnny Depp portrayed a great character. I would watch again!

Best of the series yet. Some say this is the last we will see of Cap'n Jack Sparrow. Is it? This story certainly ties up all the loose ends from the series. So I find it hard to think there could be any other story that emerges from this that is as big and bold as the first series brought us.That being said, this is a great film. Funny, awesome and grand all at once. Which is what we expect from this franchise. Well done Disney!

Definitely worth the 3 or so bucks to rent. Some acting is better than others, and Geoffrey Rush delivered an excellent performance with what little he was given to work with, screen time or otherwise. Javier Bardem as well I think. The outstanding effects and overall story are a definite improvement over the previous installment, but it still lacks the magic that the original trilogy had.

I don't quite know why this one got such bad ratings, I loved the first one and was bummed out by the third but the fourth and now the fifth are doing really good again. The action was high, the visuals fun and colorful and it has undead sharks, heck ya.This might not be in my top 100 movies of all time but I have left it on in the background many times while doing housework and the like.

It completes the set. That is about all that makes it really worth buying... if you liked the others...it is better than three and four. But of course not as good as the first one. Two is also better. So that would be in order ...1 is 10, 2 is 8, 3 is 5, 4 is 4 and 5 is back up to 7. Just a personal opinion.

When I opened the box it was obvious that this was never purchased new from a store. Instead its a store-front disk that was never supposed to be sold. Its clearly marked on the box and DVD. Its plays fine, but definitely not what shows for the picture.
