This was a fantastic beginning to the new trilogy in the post Caesar world. The special effects remain top notch and the acting and story was great. I really hope this trilogy continues long enough to get us to the original POTA.BTW, one of the 1 star ratings was for the pre-release price of the disc. Not for the movie itself.

A new story for the Planet of the Apes after Caesar窶冱 death. The visuals and story are absolutely stunning. You feel as though you are watching a real world. The tribe of apes that the character Noah is in is fascinating with their taming of eagles. The ape Proximus Caesar is a larger than life villain in his search for human technology. The most interesting humans are the ones who can still talk and think. It is exciting to see that some humans are still hanging on. A great post virus Apocalypse story which I enjoy. I like seeing former zoo animals now part of the North American fauna. I窶冦 sure they will be looking for some different features for the next film. Personally, I wouldn窶冲 mind some brought back mammoths roaming the landscape created before the Alzheimer窶冱 窶彡ure窶・virus swept the world.

I have been a fan of the franchise since the beginning (1968), and this is one of my favorites. Great movie, great fun, start of a great plot and faithful ti the originals. I was concerned when Disney got involved, but they did a really good job with the start of yet another trilogy. Highly recommended!

I don't understand why anyone would criticize this movie. Beautiful graphics, excellent voice acting, fun pace, all with a great back story (see previous Planet of the Ape movies movies). I think it picks up where all the others have left off, which has created a rich world of interesting concepts and views. This movie really makes you question a lot and there is a much deeper plot underlying the whole "tribal warfare" plot. Personally, I loved it and love the UHD quality.

Kingdom of the Planet the Apes begins after the last one ends. Fantastic movie with a great story. As for the low rating, people need to stop writing bad reviews for the price. Especially when they know that the price now is just the suggested retail market price and by the time hte movie is released it will have the price it is listed now. Calm down.
