Fun and fantastical! A modern day Frankenstein story. Loss of sex scenes, so not appropriate for young ones. Excellent cast!

Clever exploration of a character with no filters or boundaries

Really didn't expect the movie to be the way it is, shocking!

The script, the acting, the direction, the concept, the costuming, the visuals, set creation, special effects, makeup and so much more make this film one of the greatest feasts for your eyes and ears. A mad, but kind scientist and his human creation take you on a journey through each phase of life and the characters’ physical and philosophical development, brilliantly exposing the pitfalls and joys of each of life’s phases. Each phase showing the virtues of walking through life fearlessly. Added bonus alludes to the beauty of a parent who observes but doesn’t control. Each character along the way adds to the narrative through representation of lessons learned. Set in a new-age-old-age-Wizard-of-Oz-like atmosphere. An absolute masterpiece.

While the sex included in this film is divisive and people will detract from it for that.I found this film to be highly enjoyable. The surrealist colors of the painted backgrounds were almost too acid trip bright like panavision and I loved the fish eye lens camerawork making the viewer feel as a voyeur. The black and white photography of the beginning of the film Bella's repressed beginnings give way to riot of color and new experiences. There is sex and self discovery and true freedom found in a setting where none existed. The main idea i get from this film.Only when we have lost all that we are are we free to rebuild into what we are meant to be.

It’s such a pleasure to spend time watching a good movie, and this is good movie. Take it in as a whole, otherwise it’s too easy to pick things apart that seem odd. The music, for example. But, the music grows on you. The reason to watch it twice is because too many high points take over the flow of the movie in your mind, in the first viewing. In subsequent viewings you can enjoy the whole story as one alluring piece. I saw it on a smaller TV, a larger screen would enhance the amazing sets and photography. Not since Barry Lyndon have I enjoyed a movie so much.
