So much has all ready been said about this film, I could hardly add more to the dialogue and words are insufficient to express how much of an impact this film has had on me. I cannot look at the world around me the same way ever again.

I am not a fan of superhero movies or movies where the main plot appears to be everyone getting shot. This movie keeps you interested throughout and the end with its meaning is outstanding for a number of reasons.

The imagery of this film is very unique considering that you never really see anything happening inside the camp, just sounds. Some of the people turned to total monsters while trying to deny what was going on over the wall. Very interesting. The ending was a little abrupt.

This film is masterly shot and while watching it the important thing isn’t what you’re shown on camera but what you know is there and off screen. A very dark disturbing film that leaves you with a lot to think about. Have something lighthearted to watch afterward but this is a must see.

This kind of thing happened once and we thought it could never happen again. However, as despicable as it was...incomprehensible, really... it could. That is the terrifying thing about it. It could happen again. And this film clearly outlines the incomprehensible, despicable nature of callous dark souled people who thought nothing of the horror they perpetrated and participated in, in various levels. It's shocking.

This film is in German, with English subtitles that cannot be turned off.The film shows the daily lives of the Rudolph Höß family - their villa, their garden, their family outings, their seeming wartime luxury - as a juxtaposition to the inferred, but not shown, horrors of the infamous concentration camp their garden shares a wall with.A dark movie with a poignant message.

Kudos to the film! The perspective of a truly evil person, a family man, living an idyllic life, sharing a wall with the most evil place on earth, makes you almost feel sorry for the family. Almost.....
