    WATCH IT BRUH

I would say, this competes as one of the best movies of the year!

Anora is a modern day odyssey told from the perspective of the most charismatic lead (Mikey Madison) I’ve seen in recent memory.Unapologetically Sean Baker in every way, Anora shocks and delights by highlighting the characters many artists are too afraid to make their protagonists. Flawed, real, raw characters that challenges our perspectives and opens up our hearts to other’s experiences.

This movie stirred up a whirlwind of emotions within me... It was both surprising and thought-provoking, with the ending leaving me reflecting on its deeper themes. I highly recommend watching it with an open mind to fully appreciate the journey it takes you on. Try to look beyond the surface.

Such a good movie. Both very funny and very sad. Also it was very moving and profound, and had me thinking about it long after the credits rolled.Excellent acting all around. Mikey Madison was amazing! And Sean Baker is an excellent filmmaker!

Part thriller - part black comedy - part ensemble performance. Wealth never looked so ugly as we see it here. A pending connection between two people hinted at throughout the movie lands during the last scene. A strong performance by Mikey Madison who plays Anora turns dead serious in the final moment, where imprisoned hearts escape through rain and tears.

made me weep and come back 3 days later to watch again

Really felt like the overall motivation was to both negate the idea that any version of a fairy tale ending is possible between two people from opposite sides of the tracks, as well as suck any romance possible out of the whole Pretty Woman storyline. Mikey Madison was very good at combining a bit of slick hustler and naivete all into one person who got screwed by thinking she was ever in charge of what was going on.

Good solid storyline is a decent movie. Well shot really well active. The main actress is as good as I was hearing she was. completely worth renting. But there’s a lot of nudity and a lot of language so if you are the kind of person who doesn’t like that, this is not for you.

Sean Baker's Anora is an absolute banger! It's sexy, hilarious, and depressing as hell how ugly this world can get. The outstanding Oscar-worthy performance by the lovely Mikey Madison is not to miss on the big screen as she pulls off a performance that people will talk about for a while and she's more than just a scream queen. Sean Baker's direction is incredible alongside with the dazzling writing that compliments with stunning cinematography and an organic set design that captures the modern-day climate and the hypocrisy of the American Dream thanks to the main supporting cast and crew that made this film happen. This film reminded me so much of The Safdie Brother's Uncut Gems, William Friedkin's The French Connection, and Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV and these entertainment projects captures NYC so right. I loved this film and it's right up there with the top 10 films that have the most F bombs, and this truly deserves the love it can get especially Anora winning her Palme d'or at the Cannes FIlm Festival.
