I just watched the most wonderful movie, ‘The Green Book!’ This movie was about a time when American norms were even worse than today…involving the deep south and the hatred and injustice of a past Jim Crow era. Nonetheless, a time when an average white guy and one of the world's best performing piano players, a black man, shared a working relationship….that later became an incredible friendship. If you want to to share in the joy and happiness that this movie will certainly elicit…I encourage you to watch it. This movie will bring tears to your eyes!

The movie is based upon a true story. CRT advocates may have trouble with it? Viggo Mortensen put on 45 pounds to make this movie and play the role of a low I.Q. street smart Itlaian borderline mafioso who takes an unusual gig while between engagements. It is filled with pathos, humor, angst, twists and turns, a little action, and a lot of great music. It's an uncharacteristic role for Viggo, although he does it perfect justice.

I had never even heard about this movie before my son came and told me that I should watch it. I decided to give it a try one Saturday night and it really is a great movie. If you are looking for something to watch - try it! It's both funny and serious. Hope you like it!
