A worthy addition to my bluray collection.
Cust********KZ6This film is without a doubt one of the greatest silent films of all time, if not one of the greatest films of all time. This is an unbelievablly gorgeous remastering of this film. The blacks are nice and deep. The recreation of the previously lost score is great. And plenty of features. This film also come with a second disc of the original German release with the German title cards (English subtitles still appear at the bottom of the screen if enabled) and after many viewing a can say the transfer of the German version is slightly nicer. The English version is still fantastic but there German disc just a little bit more.
Cust********JP8This movie takes you back to a time when suggestion invoked far more terror than gore. Along with Metropolis, it belongs at the forefront of any movies collection of great films.

Cust********S87I am a massive fan of the Dracula novel, and while flawed, I love the Bela Lugosi film by Universal. Nosferatu was the unauthorized version, and now sits rightly as one of the greatest horror films of all time.I first saw this film as a child, and it terrified me. Everything about the visuals were beyond creepy to me, and I could never get the image of Count Orlok out of my mind. Many years later, I bought a copy of the film on DVD, and was able to relive my childhood. The trouble is that the quality was far from great, and I never saw the film in the best way possible. This restoration does all that and more. The original colour tinting (some people dislike it; I rather enjoyed it) is present, which is a major upgrade to the smudged brown of my public domain copy. That in combination with the visuals, as well as the original music written for the film, was as if I was watching the film for the first time. It was such a special experience to watch it on the 100th anniversary on my big screen TV, with nice headphones, in the middle of the night. Truly wonderful. The special features, one of the major reasons why I love physical media, are lovely as well; the documentary, image gallery, and film excerpts being very enlightening. It allows us to see into the past in ways books cannot, for the obvious reason that we can actually see it rather than a facsimile. To that point, the preservation of history is vital, and for Kino to release this, is a blessing.Undoubtedly there will be many people who will hate this film鈥攄ue to its age, it being a silent film (despite the film score), and the over-acting due to the theatre training鈥攂ut I still encourage people to give it a chance. It's a great film and this is the best it's ever looked or ever will. Here's to 100 more years of greatness.
Cust********WKXVisually this is a newly mastered and restored colour tinted version of the original Murnau film and it includes titles in English and German. There are also additional materials including a documentary on the making of the original film. Max Schreck is unbelievably believable and frightening as the vampyre, no Bela Laghosi camping it up here!
Cust********GRLAnyone who loves silent films should see this right now!
Cust********GA2This movie is legendary for a reason. I first watched it through Shudder and have loved it ever since. F.W. Murnau hit it out of the park with this. I know Bram Stoker's widow didn't want this to be produced, but here we are 100 years later, still obsessing over it.
Cust********6ZENice addition to my video library!
Cust********K3UNosferatu is probably my favorite vampire movie of all-time. There's such a macabre feel to it that in my opinion has never been recreated in any other vampire movie that I've seen. If you want to see a great piece of cinematic history, you can't go wrong with Nosferatu.
