Darwin and God go hand in hand, in the eyes and hands of God in this one (the film that is). Absolutely existential, but the essence of truth. Live life like a haiku, short, sweet and to the point. Kind of like what I just said. You get it.

It's not deep. It's about a man, and his monkey, and a giant lizard, and a flying wolf. They eat people, destroy helicopters, and, well, rampage. But it's got a solid cast with the Rock, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Joe Manganiello all giving fun performances. The movie knows it's not Shakespeare, and doesn't try to be. It only tries to be fun. And it succeeds.

I expected this to be a solid 3-star movie but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was quite a bit better than I expected. Lots of fun and George was the standout "star" but also a good amount of emotion. The villains were cut-outs but that was perfectly ok.Looking for something to watch and scarf down popcorn, this is a great choice.
