Wonderful movie. Shows the struggles of our teens, today, but also show's how they need to be nurtured, and guided. It also show's how one person can change the lives of others through trust, commitment, communication and dance. A must have move to learn from!

Excellent 'Based on a True' Story!Banderas is not such a tough guy in this movie, he is a humble teacher...Different from his other characters, yet he is still a strong heroic figure. If you like good dance movies you'll surely love this one!

I loved the face that the ballroom teacher was using the class to teach dignity, honor and respect. I would highly reccomend this film for that reason saline. You saw lives transformed in people who had little opportunity to turn things around otherwise. B. Ward

The condition of the dvd was great, but the shipment timing was poor. It took several weeks to arrive, right up to the day I was suppose to leave town. Other than that, everything was good. I would order from this seller again, but I will make sure I am not leaving town for at least the next 4 weeks.

Great, inspiring movie. I love the plot and Antonio Banderas of course. I am a teacher by trait and enjoy seeing movies about how other teachers believed in the underdogs and how they arise because of a little faith in them. Enjoyed it. not even to mention the tango scene...what?!!!!

I really enjoy this movie. It's done well with the kids really acting like teenagers do, but through love of dance learning a lot about themselves. There are some really good dance sequences and a strong plot. You really get to "know" these kids and what they're about. Highly recommend it.

"Take the Lead" was popular with the public and not so popular with the critics.Begging to differ with the critics; "Take the Lead" tells a story, develops the characters, illustrates art (ballroom dancing). I've watched the movie and interviews about the movie countless times; it's hardly a recycled string of Hollywood themes.

This movie portrays the possibilities given to underpriviledged students when just one person steps up and "Take the Lead." The film is about Antonio Banderas, who teaches an inner city group of deliquent high school students how to ballroom dance. Throughout the movie, the students discover dance is a way to escape day to day problems. In the end the students learn a lot about "the outside world" and have respect for themselves and one another.
