Superb detail and a real insight into a crazy & historic time. It's hard to see how this scenario can be prevented in future. So we'll written.

The book falls short of Trump bashing, but provides a lot of information that leads one to doubt that the man can ever rise to any status of excellence as President. He is owned by his personal impatience, insecurity, incivility, need for devotion, and lack of ability to handle criticism. I wondered, however, what the title referred to: that he was an apprentice at a very difficult job?

An illuminating read about this most chaotic administration and the rather “colourful” characters that inhabit it. A Highly recommended read

Overview about Trump, Russia and 2016 elections. Not anything new if you read NYT and WP daily but good book for people that do not follow that closely.

Puts Trump’s collision and corruption into the larger context of Russian aggression and Republican acquiescence. The passages regarding Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are chilling. In the summer of 2016, McConnell refused to accept US Intelligence briefings on Russian election interference for purely partisan reasons, threatening to reveal intel as a political plot by Obama. Trump is the symptom of a sick system. The Russian chapters detail a nation-state attack on America, far beyond a reasonable doubt.
