I saw Predator in theaters back and the 80s (then on VHD and DVD) and it didn't look or sound as great as the Blu Ray. The remastering looks great, looks like a new film with young cast. There's a spot where Carl's Weathers looks a bit airbrushed when they meet with the General( less then a minute mostly due to his tone in a dark hit I guess). The 3D version is great too. For the most part it's very well done, here and there the prospective distance seems to me off a bit... Not wrong off a bit... But it's a very small amount of time in the total film. The audio is great, and regardless of which version you watch (SD, HD 2D or 3d) you'll be pleased... Unless your one of those snobs that are never happy.

1987’s Predator is a must watch for all Schwarzenegger fans! It’s got enough action to keep everyone satisfied and (uniquely) portrays an intelligent protagonist able to think outside the box. It’s a great movie!

Loved this movie ever since seeing it in the theater.Very tightly edited.No dead spots.Moves at a brisk pace.Great action sequences.Innovative visual effects.Once every hundred years,Hollywood comes up with a unique story.Much better than these unwatchable CGI abused movies that have become the norm for Hollywood.This movie is actually filmed in a real jungle with real helicopters and real people.Imagine that!

What Sigourney Weaver and Ridley Scott did with the masterpiece Alien, Arnold Schwarzenegger did with predator. What space did for the aliens, the jungle did for the predators. An atmospheric sci-fi horror film. The last of its kind. A true masterpiece and treasure. A gem. A 10 out of 10. It truly saddens me when people think of the franchise as a whole they think of only the mediocre sequels and not the original. I hope someday we get a continuation with Dutch Arnold's character.

this region 2 two disc set of Predator is a better quality print from 20thcentury fox UK IS the DIRECTORS CUT. the big difference with this edition comparedto the us version is not just the time ratio it is in fact the Predator alien played with mastery by the late kevin peter hall "a brother from another mother"(R.I.P) (with the power of invisibility and deadly skin melting plasma shots can actually be clearly heard and understood when it speaks, which i found to be incredibly fascinating. if you can still get this edition there are a few shots of the Predator which were not included in the american version. disc number 2 is filled with very revealing behind the scenes "making of" "interviews" "screen tests" "deleted scenes" (which were left out for very good reason(s)) among other tid-bits. the one thing i did find surprising in this extras disc is "even the most muscular of men can prove to be the kindest of gentlemen with wonderful senses of humor. especially arnold schwarzenegger and carl weathers (for the time this film was made. though i do hope they haven't changed much since then).I LOVE THIS FILM!!!!!!!

This two disc 4K Ultra HD/HDR + Blu-Ray + HD Digital, arrived on time and undamaged. Picture, sound and features playback is superb, especially now that I have just watched one of the action scenes on my LG 4K Ultra HD/HDR Blu-Ray player and see things on it, which I couldn't distinguish when running through standard Blu-Ray and that the 4K Ultra along with the High Definition plus High Dynamic Range brings the whole movie to life in a more realistic and dynamic way, giving the viewer and new viewing pleasure when watch this classic 1987 action movie from John Mctiernan. The audio is great, but I wish that 20th Century Fox had been able to include a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. But in general the movie is superb in this new format. I give it 10 out of 10, even though some other fans will doubt this rating I have given to it.
